PAOLO A MODERN JEWELER
Paolo A Modern Jeweler was founded over 30 years ago in the Gaslight District of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Paolo’s classic modern designs, while heavily influenced by our Italian traditionalists on staff, are often inspired by several younger designers and jewelers.
Paolo has won recognition as one of the premier private jewelers in the region and was awarded the prestigious “Best Of City” Cincinnati Magazine, as well as Best Jewelry Designer Cincinnati several years in a row by Cincinnati A-List. Nationally, Paolo was ranked as one of the Top Ten Jewelers with Great Character, by INSTORE/INDESIGN magazine! We have also been featured in publications like The Knot and Vanity Fair.
We are one of Cincinnati’s most charitable jewelers. Our team donates Paolo Date Night Experiences to many local charities, raising funds & awareness year-round.

ATMOSPHERE. The clean, fresh atmosphere is set in the historic Gaslight/Clifton neighborhood, absorbing the lifestyle and music while enjoying a nice glass wine or a wonderful cocktail!
FAMILY. Our Cani Corsi (Italian Mastiff) Puppito, Lil Sis, & Lil Ricky make great greeters, many clients visit just to say hello!
LEGACY. We celebrated 30 years in business recently by giving back to the community we love.

Design Jeweler & Founder
Paolo’s style is Modern Classic. Trained by Master Jeweler Ezio Oliverio in the Italian traditional style and grace. Oliverio took Paolo under his wing, sharing his passion for jewelry design as well as his philosophy on quality craftsmanship.
“Master Jeweler Ezio taught me that the craftsmanship of a piece must parallel the design,” says Paolo. “A classic modern piece will always be classic and modern.”
When Paolo started the business more than 30 years ago, he wanted to showcase his unique and modern jewelry in a setting that reflects their modern classic aesthetic.
“We wanted to share our designs with our growing clientele, so we started a studio-style environment with an open floor plan,” says Paolo.
“We offer a modern, comfortable setting in order to engage our clients, while showing our own Jewelry Designs, along with Estate Jewelry!

Bret Workman
Jeweler & Studio Manager
Bret is our Studio Manager and a skilled Jeweler! Bret graduated from Northern Kentucky University, with a bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership! He is also a proud Veteran of the US Army.

Richard Lapthorn
Master Jeweler
Richard began training under Master Jeweler Ezio Oliverio, as a teenager! This very talented bench Jeweler joined the Paolo team and is now Paolo's Master Jeweler, with over forty years of experience. Richard specializes in custom design, wax cutting, laser repair and design, as well as assisting the team as a Design Consultant!

Creative Director
Paolito designs our ready-to-wear collections, and oversees our brand’s creative strategy and marketing as Creative Director. Being the Founder of his own brand, he has extensive experience in design, branding and e-commerce.
Paolo graduated from Northern Kentucky University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.

Isabella Marie
Design Assistant
Isabella designs beautiful jewelry and assists Paolo and team at our studio.
She has her own collection of diamond jewelry called the Isabella Collection.
She loves to design with clients by hand-drawing jewelry ideas.
